2. Select photos that are razor sharp in focus. People, landscapes, food etc... are all in demand (photographs of people require a model release signature - a form for this can be downloaded from any of the above companies).
3. Do not submit too many photos at once. Try keeping the total number of photographs you submit to 50. This will help avoid too many rejections (too many submissions at one time may give the impression that you are spamming the submission system).
4. Most of the time you will probably not have a tripod handy & you will more than likely need to discard a few photographs because they are not perfectly in focus. Using a tripod will solve this problem & enable more of your photos to be accepted.
5. Attach keyword tags to your photos. Keywords will help the photos to be found by prospective buyers.
6. A digital slr camera is not essential, but it will help you produce better quality photographs & so make you more money.
7. Take photographs that illustrate abstract ideas such as honesty, lifestyle, pleasure, sadness, intelligence, emotions, creativity, ect..
8. Existing business logo, copyrighted material , trademarks etc.. must not appear in your photos.
9. Learn how to enhance your photos with image software like Photoshop. You will be able to perform miracles with your photos once you learn the basics.
10. Look for photo opportunities and create your own. Don't just wait around hoping that some opportunity will just turn up!
